About Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a city of cultural and geographical diversity, rich with natural landmarks. Some of which include, the Pentlands and Arthur's Seat, the beaches at Gullane and North Berwick and the port at the waterfront in Leith. In addition there are a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages including the world famous Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, and more recent additions such as Our Dynamic Earth and the Camera Obscurer.
There is something for everyone, hence the reason for the vast number of tourists flocking to the City each year. With a variety of events organised throughout the year, the City is always bustling.
The Edinburgh Festival takes place in August each year attracting a vast number of visitors from all over the globe. The festival hosts performers of all artisitc disciplines, from comedians to musicians and from actors to authors. During this month the population of the City doubles, with thousands of people making Edinburgh their home-away-from-home for an extended holiday or a working visit.
Christmas and Hogmanay are unique experiences in Edinburgh. Events such as the Edinburgh Street Party, the concert in Princes Street Gardens and the epic firework display at Edinburgh Castle mark the New Year in style. The Winter Wonderland, funfair and the German market make Christmas in Edinburgh special.
